Scouts & chief scouts: who we cover
Scouts and chief scouts are the entry point into a club's recruitment pipeline — the people whose report decides whether a player is ever discussed at all.
A chief scout does not sign players, but nothing gets signed without passing them. They own the long list, the territory splits and the report format the director reads. For an agent this is the most receptive contact in the building: scouts are actively looking for players, all season, in every market.
Scouting structures differ wildly. Big clubs run regional scouts, data analysts and a head of scouting who reports to recruitment; a mid-table club may have one chief scout covering three countries. Knowing which model a club uses tells you whether to send video, a data profile, or both.
We separate scouting from recruitment strategy: this hub is field and chief scouts, while heads of recruitment sit in their own hub.

Scouts & chief scouts: common questions
What should I send a scout?
Position, age, contract status, current level and a link to full-match footage rather than a highlight reel. Scouts discount edited highlights and ask for full games anyway.
Is contacting a scout better than contacting a sporting director?
It is often easier and slower. A scout can champion a player internally; a director can act immediately. Serious intermediaries work both.
Do you cover youth scouts?
Youth and academy scouting records are held privately but excluded from these public hubs for safeguarding reasons.
